Eagle Rest Don Quixote is a Mammoth Donkey. He was purchased at three months from Eagle Rest Plantation in Kevil, Ky. He stands 57½ inches. Odie sired Brayer Hill Sure Smooth Zorro, Brayer Hill Othello, Brayer Hill Razzle Dazzle and Brayer Hill Cisco Kid for Brayer Hill Farm and he produced other mules for other farms. He stood at stud and was shown in driving, halter and performance. Odie also did a coffee promotion for Maxwell House in St. Louis and promoted donkeys at the Horse-A-Rama in Ft. Worth.

Unfortunately, due to a breeding accident, he had to be gelded. But he seems to enjoy his new found role in life. He takes care of the weanlings with Zorro and babysits the yearlings, too. His gentle nature and quirky sense of humor endear him to all. Odie is still shown on occasion and participates in parades, but for the most part he's an amiable companion at the farm and the official greeter for the visitors.

No farm should be without a donkey and Odie is Brayer Hill Farm's favorite resident.
